Fri, February 17, 2006 - 5:55 AMMy boyfriend made one of those, almost exactly the same, a while back. The only difference is he used hinges especially made for presses. Said with the better hinges, it worked like a charm.. Held the screen really tight.

Wed, May 9, 2007 - 4:23 PMI built a four color press before and it worked really well. I got the plans from the screen printing industry's bible, "How to print t-shirts for fun and profit" by Scott & Pat Fresner (Husband and Wife team) There is a picture of it and a sample of the work on this tribe. I highly reccomend getting this book. It has everything you need to know about screen printing. -

Although it cost me something like $70 there are plans for a build-it yourself single colour silkscreen machine, as well as a four colour/ four screen model which employs the brilliantly simple idea of using a lazy susan as a base.
