I have 4 screens that I absolutely cannot reclaim, even with reclaimer and using a power hose. Someone at the midwest sign and screen told me it's because my screens were under-exposed. Does this make sense?

Sat, January 20, 2007 - 5:19 AMyes it does.
I found that if you under expose and use your screen to print , the ink reacts with the emulsion causing clogged mesh. I did use a pressure washer to try to reclaim it with the same results you mentioned. Then I took it to a car wash and used their pressure washer. I think if you try something with 2200+ psi you can reclaim your screen.

Re: Can under-exposing a screen cause clogged mesh?
Sun, January 28, 2007 - 4:59 PMYES! What I do.. wash, wash, wash with degreaser. Rinse with cold water. Apply a good emulsion reclaiming solution, and immediately take to the nearest carwas, before the reclaimer dries. By using the carwash high-pressure, I've had really good luck reclaiming the most stubborn screens. Hope this helps.
